For patients of the clinic there is a doctor on call 24 hours a day and can be reached by phoning 604-259-6919 for any urgent calls.

 

Port Moody Maternity Clinic is a medical clinic for prenatal and early postpartum care only.
Please note: we are not a women’s health centre, so we do not conduct pap tests, IUD insertions, or abortions. The healthcare providers at our clinic work together to provide quality obstetrical care for our patients. We are committed to offering focused prenatal and early postpartum care to expectant moms so they feel informed, supported, and engaged throughout their pregnancy and during their delivery at Royal Columbian Hospital.

Please note: Our clinic consists of both male and female physicians and there is no guarantee a patient will be able to have a female doctor deliver them.

Our Commitment

Since 1998, our physicians and dedicated staff have worked together to provide quality obstetrical care for anyone referred to the Port Moody Maternity Clinic (formerly Community Maternity Centre).  We are committed to offering focused prenatal and early postpartum care to expectant moms so they feel informed, supported, and engaged throughout their pregnancy and during their delivery at Royal Columbian Hospital.     

Collaborative care with specialists in the community (Obstetricians, Diabetologists, Maternal Fetal Medicine, Cardiologists, etc.) may be necessary if either the mom’s or baby’s health requires an increased level of care.   We will arrange for this and continue to co-follow or supportively follow your ongoing care.   

At all times, one of our physicians or a colleague is available (24/7) and can be reached for emergencies after hours or for advice when an expectant mom is in labour.  Our physicians rotate through 24-hour on call shifts and are available through a pager (604) 259 6919.
